Federation, first courts and rapid growth

The Ceska padelova federace was founded in 2015 and became a FIP member in 2018 under president Jakub Lenc. The first public padel courts in Czechia opened in 2017 at Tenis and Padel klub Písecna in the Troja district of Prague. The sport grew from 9 courts in 2020 to around 80 courts by late 2025, with Prague accounting for more than half of all registered venues and Brno and Ostrava emerging as the main secondary hubs.

Padel Powers, the Pliskova Academy and media milestones

The most prominent national operator is Padel Powers, whose facilities include an indoor arena in Prague Smichov with 8 courts and a complex in Brno Slatina with 10 indoor courts, the largest single padel venue in the country. Former WTA world No. 1 Karolína Plíšková operates the Plíšková Padel Academy in Rícany near Prague, a member club of the federation. The 2025 Czech national championship was the first padel event broadcast live on Czech national television, shown on Nova Sport 1.

International ambitions and competitive structure

No FIP or Premier Padel circuit event has been held in Czechia. In August 2025, the Accolade Funds padel exhibition at Písecna in Prague featured professional players ranked inside the top 50, the first time players of that level competed on Czech soil. The Czech federation fields national teams at FIP World Cup qualifying events and runs the Extraliga team league, the Czech Padel Tour and an annual national championship covering six ranking categories including 40-plus and 50-plus veterans.
