Federation, first courts and early international ambition

Georgia's padel body, the Georgian National Padel Federation (GNPF), joined FEPA in August 2021 before a permanent domestic court existed, enabling the national team to compete at the FEPA European Padel Team Championships in Bilbao in October 2021. FIP membership followed in 2022, with Nina Svanidze Kartsivadze as president. The first permanent padel court in Georgia opened at Mtatsminda Park in Tbilisi in May 2022, in a project supported by FEPA. By 2026 the country had at least 19 clubs and an estimated 15,000 practitioners, with Tbilisi's network alone grown to around 10 indoor and 24 outdoor courts across 15 venues.

Key venues and nationwide expansion

The main Tbilisi venues are Gym Breeze on Egnate Ninoshvili Street with 9 to 10 outdoor courts, the city's largest facility, Kustba Padel Club at Turtle Lake with 8 panoramic outdoor courts, and Gpadel in the Tskneti hills with 8 outdoor courts. The Padelbade chain operates multiple indoor locations, including a 5-court site at Krtsanisi. Outside the capital, courts have opened in Batumi, Kutaisi, Rustavi and the Kakheti wine region, with Batumi providing 4 courts across 2 venues on the Black Sea coast.

FIP events and player development

Georgia hosted its first FIP-sanctioned tournament, the FIP Bronze Tbilisi, at Gym Breeze from 2 to 6 July 2025, with a prize pool of 7,000 euros and 32 pairs in the main draw. The FIP Promises Tbilisi followed on 22-24 May 2026 at Kustba Padel Club, Georgia's first youth FIP Promises Tour event, with Georgian junior pairs competing in Under 16 and Under 18 categories. No Georgian players hold FIP world ranking points, and domestic competition is tracked through the Rankedin platform.
